WRITING

I focus on improving my students' clarity and consistency in their writing. I often give students tools they need to address structural issues in their writing, and can also assist in grammatical and spelling issues. If requested, I can help a student cultivate their vocabulary.

READING COMPREHENSION

I can assist students with their reading comprehension. I can help students prepare for the SATs and for other exams that test comprehension skills.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

I can work with advanced learners, meaning English language learners who understand the most of the grammatical and structural elements of English, but still struggle with idioms, metaphors, and complex vocabulary. I can also help with confusion about the appropriateness of certain phrases and words.
